Giving Back
At MMG Sports we think it’s important to give back. After all, we wouldn’t be where we are today if others didn’t give back to us. So whether it‘s supporting voluntary organisations, giving advice to those starting their careers in sport or acting as a sounding board, we pledge to volunteer a minimum of 10% of our time every week to those who need it or will benefit from our help.
Here’s how we currently give back.
Coaching & Mentoring
As an accredited coach via The Business Coaching Academy Mick Hogan supports members of The Professional Body of Sports Leadership with mentoring and coaching sessions.
Charity support
MMG Sports Ltd has played an integral role in the establishment and running of three sporting charitable foundations. Ongoing voluntary support is given to both the Newcastle Rugby Foundation and NE Youth.
Community sport
We provide non-executive director support to Northumberland Rugby and advice to Northumberland Cricket. Both organisations look to develop and grow their respective sports in the north east of England.
One-on-one advice
We can also offer a one-off or series of chats to those looking to break into the sports industry or those already involved who just want a sounding board or share of good practice. We’ll not lie, we get as much from these sessions as hopefully those we chat to, do as well!
What we can’t do...
…is work for free, on a commission basis or affect introductions for commercial, profit-led organisations. We only have limited time and resources to give back and try to ensure it goes to those that need it most.
